Survey Manager Join MetaOption LLC in San Diego, CA as a Survey Manager overseeing high‑profile private land development and public works projects. Working full‑time, you will lead a team of survey professionals, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and deliver accurate survey data and mapping solutions.

Location & Salary San Diego, CA – $80,000 – $150,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of survey professionals on landmark projects in the San Diego region.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high‑quality survey data and mapping solutions.

Manage project schedules, budgets, and goals while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Oversee client interactions, ensuring projects meet expectations on time and within budget.

Provide direction, support, and mentorship to junior survey staff.

Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and project estimating.

Prepare CAD drawings and survey deliverables such as boundary surveys, topographic maps, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, as‑built surveys, and subdivision maps.

Process survey submittals with city and county agencies and conduct mapping research, boundary analysis, and legal description preparation.

Apply knowledge of California Subdivision Map Act, Professional Surveyors Act, and local civil codes.

Utilize survey software (Civil 3D, MicroStation Inroads, Trimble Business Center, Carlson) and maintain proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.

Minimum 5 years of office mapping experience in private land development and public works projects.

Strong leadership, time‑management, and communication skills.

Previous field experience is a plus.

Technical proficiency in survey software and CAD tools.
