Chief Electrical Estimator

As the
Chief Electrical Estimator , you’ll serve as a strategic leader—overseeing the estimating team, guiding complex bids, and driving profitability through precision, innovation, and teamwork. Your expertise will directly impact which projects the company wins, how they’re executed, and the strength of client relationships.
What You’ll Do
Lead the
end-to-end estimating process
for large-scale electrical projects—from bid analysis through final proposal.
Evaluate drawings, specifications, and scopes to develop
accurate, comprehensive cost estimates .
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and preconstruction teams to ensure
alignment between estimates and execution strategies .
Mentor and coach
estimators to enhance technical knowledge, confidence, and accuracy.
Build and maintain strong
vendor and subcontractor relationships
for competitive pricing and market intelligence.
Partner with leadership to determine
strategic pursuits
and maintain a competitive market position.
What You Bring
10+ years
of experience in electrical estimating, including
3+ years in a leadership role .
Proven background in
commercial, industrial, or mission‑critical
construction environments.
Strong knowledge of
NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA standards .
Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software such as
Accubid, Trimble, Bluebeam, Procore, or BIM 360 .
Ability to interpret
one‑lines, riser diagrams, and coordination studies
with exceptional attention to detail.
Natural leadership and communication skills that promote
collaboration and accountability .
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in
Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
(or equivalent field experience).
Professional credentials such as
PE (Electrical), LEED, ASPE, or CPE .
Experience in estimating
data centers, healthcare, or advanced manufacturing
projects.
Established
vendor and subcontractor relationships
in Georgia and the Southeast region.
