About the Opportunity
A privately held
energy equipment manufacturer
is expanding its Houston operations and looking for an experienced
Maintenance Technician
to support a busy
fabrication and machining facility
serving the oil & gas sector. You'll be part of a small, skilled maintenance team responsible for keeping
CNC machinery, hydraulic systems, and production equipment
running at peak performance. This is a
hands-on, plant-based role
supporting precision manufacturing operations that run across multiple shifts. If you take pride in your technical skill, safety awareness, and problem-solving ability - this is a place where your work directly impacts uptime, quality, and production reliability. Key Responsibilities Perform
preventive and corrective maintenance
on CNC machines, pumps, valves, and mechanical systems throughout the facility. Troubleshoot
hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control issues
on manufacturing and support equipment. Support daily plant operations - respond quickly to
machine downtime and urgent repair needs . Collaborate with production, machining, and quality teams to minimize disruption and maintain workflow efficiency. Maintain accurate
maintenance logs, PM records, and equipment documentation . Participate in safety meetings and ensure compliance with
ISO and OSHA standards . Ideal Background 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
in a
manufacturing or machining environment
(CNC, oilfield, or heavy equipment preferred). Strong working knowledge of
CNC machinery (Mori Seiki, Doosan, DMG, Haas, Mazak)
and
Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls . Familiarity with
hydraulic presses, pumps, and gearboxes ; ability to diagnose mechanical failures. Why This Role Stands Out Modern facility:
