The Missoula County Fairgrounds is seeking a
MARKETING & GRAPHIC DESIGN SPECIALIST
to join their team. This position develops and implements integrated marketing and communications strategies, produces creative aspect and content, and monitors brand essence and style across all mediums for the Western Montana Fair, Fairgrounds Foundation, and Missoula County Fairgrounds. This role places a strong emphasis on digital marketing, social media strategy, and audience engagement in addition to providing professional-level graphic design support.

Leads development of creative digital campaigns to grow audiences, expand online reach, and drive attendance at major events through organic and paid social media, influencer engagement, and emerging platforms. Strengthens brand awareness through integrated strategies; collaborates with Fairgrounds, Fairgrounds Foundation, Fairground partners and Missoula County staff, contractors, superintendents, volunteers, and lessees to develop and produce deliverables including but not limited to training materials, booklets, fundraising packets and other print assets, videos, displays, social media content, promotional materials, email campaigns and signage.
Qualifications
Requires Bachelor’s Degree. Degrees best suited for this position include graphic design, photography, fine arts, public relations or marketing.
Requires two years of design experience. Experience in managing social media campaigns, digital marketing strategy, and brand engagement strongly preferred.
Most work is performed in an office setting. Seasonally (summer months, before, during and after the Fair, held in August) involves long hours outside of the normal business week. Requires attendance at meetings outside the workplace, sometimes outside normal business hours. Some physical activity may be performed out of doors on the Missoula County Fairgrounds property. Requires frequent walking on rough and uneven terrain, climbing stairs; exposure to rural “out building” environment; and some exposure to inclement weather. Requires occasional medium lifting, (boxes, 25-35 pounds).
