Job Title: Ultrasound Imaging Tech IRP- Gahanna

Department: Ambulatory Services | Gahanna Imaging

Scope of Position The Ultrasound division encompasses fixed and mobile Ultrasound equipment located in University Hospital, East Hospital, James Cancer Hospital and OSUWMC Ambulatory Imaging locations.

Position Summary The Ultrasound Technologist performs sonographic exams and procedures for the diagnosis/treatment of disease or injury. In addition, the position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Imaging Manager.

Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography registered with current Ohio Department of Health Radiology Licensure. ARDMS Abdomen Certification required, unless ARDMS registered in Vascular or OB/GYN. If registered in one of these, may obtain Abdomen within 18 months of hire. Mammography ultrasound technologists: ARDMS Abdomen Registry with Breast Certification required within 18 months of hire. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
