Senior Survey CAD Manager - Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Base pay: $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr. (Actual pay based on skills and experience.)
Job Summary:
The Senior Survey CAD Manager will define, implement, and maintain CAD standards for the company. The role coordinates CAD needs with Project Managers and CAD Staff, requires attention to detail, simultaneous multi‑project management, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities
Ensure CAD Technicians are trained and follow established CAD standards.
Manage CAD software licenses, updates, and training.
Oversee general QA/QC of CAD work performed by CAD Staff.
Process daily field survey data using Civil 3D/Carlson and/or MicroStation to develop finished survey drawings.
Develop 3D digital terrain models from field data for engineering design, utilizing InRoads/OpenRoads and similar software.
Become familiar with CAD standards of various government agencies (e.g., GDOT) to ensure compliance of finished survey drawings.
Occasionally assist in the field to confirm drawings match field conditions and to support progression toward becoming a registered land surveyor.
Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
Education/Experience
Associate Degree in Technical Drafting (Preferred) or Comparable 4‑Year Degree.
8+ years of experience in AutoCAD.
5+ years of experience in land surveying.
5+ years of managing Junior CAD Technicians.
Experience with GDOT deliverables.
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook).
Valid driver’s license, insurable status required.
Knowledge of business office procedures.
