Your role and responsibilities
Develops and implements the global Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSE&S) strategy, ensuring governance, risk mitigation, and alignment with ABB Robotics and division-specific policies and standards.
Partners with management, external stakeholders, and IS/IT to shape the function’s direction, leverage AI and digital tools, and ensure systems remain state-of-the-art.
Oversees external resources, performance reporting, budgeting, and compliance with Group-wide and Division-specific HSE&S requirements.
Builds and leads a skilled, motivated, and empowered team, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of care, safety, and high performance.
Collaborates across business areas to influence people decisions, drive communication and learning initiatives, and support ABB Robotics’ position as a global market leader.
Qualifications for the role
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Health & Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.
20+ years of senior experience leading global HSE and Security functions in an industrial or technology environment.
Proven record in developing and implementing HSE&S strategies, governance frameworks, and risk management systems.
Strong knowledge of international standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001).
Demonstrated ability to leverage digital tools, AI, and data analytics to enhance safety and security performance.
Experienced in leading diverse, cross-functional teams and managing external service providers.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills at executive level.
Strategic, empathetic, and results-driven leader committed to fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
