Job Description The Office of Admissions is hiring two entry-level Admissions Officers to support recruitment and outreach at the University of Florida. This exciting position offers the opportunity to work closely under the guidance of Associate and Assistant Directors, contributing to the planning and execution of high school visits, college fairs, and information sessions. Admissions Officers will also build meaningful relationships with prospective students, families, and school counselors. The role involves significant travel (8–12 weeks annually), including overnight trips within the U.S. and occasional international travel.
Key responsibilities include: Recruitment and Outreach
Represent UF in assigned territories through high school visits, college fairs, and recruitment events to promote multiple admission pathways(UF residential, UF Online, Innovation Academy, PaCE).
Host virtual and in-person information sessions, yield events, and other engagement activities.
Build and maintain relationships with students, families, and school counselors to provide guidance throughout the admissions process.
Coordinate travel logistics and scheduling; travel up to 8–12 weeks annually during fall, spring, and summer cycles; operate a state vehicle and maintain a valid passport for international travel.
Admissions and Enrollment
Respond to inquiries via phone, email, virtual platforms, and in-person interactions, providing accurate information about UF's admissions policies and processes.
Provide general admissions counseling and participate in presentations at the UF Welcome Center.
Evaluate academic records, test scores, resumes, and personal statements.
Assist with holistic review of freshman, transfer, and graduate applications.
Data Management and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of student and school contacts using CRM systems.
Compile visit data to support territory planning and enrollment initiatives.
Share updates with leadership through weekly activity and annual reports.
Other Duties
Participate in training and professional development to enhance admissions knowledge and skills.
Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned by senior admissions leadership.
$49,000 annually
