What You’ll Do As an Outside Parts Salesperson, you will cultivate and expand business in your assigned territory, spending over 50% of your time in the field. Key responsibilities include:
Develop & maintain knowledge of VVG products and pricing
Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business
Visit assigned and prospective customers
Communicate parts orders to inside salespeople
Meet or exceed new‑business sales goals
Complete prospecting activities to secure appointments with decision makers
Schedule, document activities and prepare sales documentation
Stay aware of market behavior and competitive trends
Collaborate regularly with sales supervisor to review progress
Follow up on parts orders to ensure department meets customer needs
Act as a public‑relations liaison for VVG
Customer Service Responsibilities
Maintain excellent customer service standards
Resolve customer complaints and provide conflict resolution
Visit customers to maintain strong relations
Required Skills & Qualifications
Five (5) or more years in service/parts within the trucking industry
Technician experience
Professional appearance
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Leadership & teamwork qualities
Initiative
Valid driver’s license
Clean motor‑vehicle record
Pass post‑offer drug test
Physical Requirements
Pass post‑offer drug test
Valid driver’s license and clean driver record
