We are seeking a motivated geotechnical professional for the Woburn, Massachusetts (Boston) office to assist on a variety of projects throughout the region. Project types will include buildings, infrastructure and transportation, dams and levees, and waterfront development.

Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and design.

Observe & manage field explorations and construction activities.

Coordinate geotechnical laboratory testing and interpret results.

Perform geotechnical analyses, computations, prepare spreadsheets, prepare and edit drawings using AutoCad.

Prepare reports and construction specifications.

Assist with proposals and business development activities

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

Fundamentals of Engineering (FE or EIT) certification.

Geotechnical course work required.

2-4+ years of experience.

Experience working in a team environment and meeting deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of CAD and other common software.

Willingness to travel on temporary assignment if needed.

Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to work in the field as needed.

Ability to perform field work in active construction sites year-round without restrictions, and in inclement weather if required.

Note that typical ecological staff have highly variable schedules. On average, an ecological staff person may spend around two-thirds of their time in the office and one-third in the field. A typical field day may be 2-8 hours. A typical work week may have 1-2 field days.
