is currently looking for a

Senior Accountant-Financial Reporting . The right candidate will perform a variety of accounting functions with limited supervision by being able to identify issues, research, and develop solutions while applying a strong understanding of accounting principles. Collaborate in a team environment to produce financial reports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist in the preparation of the Company’s financial statements Prepare month-end and quarter-end close schedules and journal entries Prepare weekly operational reports for management Prepare supporting schedules for the quarterly preparation of the 10Q/10K filings Financial statement review and analysis Research and report on the financial performance of industry competitors Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company Interface with internal and external auditors and assist as required Adhere to internal control procedures Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as requested Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from a four-year college or university Two years of related experience and/or training Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Solid understanding of financial statements and internal controls Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers (clerical to executive management) Possess strong work ethic High level of organization and the ability to prioritize tasks Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision The noise level is generally moderate Preferred Qualifications

Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience preferred Experience working for a large company preferred Big 4 accounting experience is a plus Homebuilding industry experience using JD Edwards is a plus Schedule: Monday – Friday, In-Office Come join a winning team with a Fortune 500 company!
