The
Litigation Paralegal
will play a key role in case management, document organization, and trial preparation. This position requires a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple deadlines, and is comfortable working directly with attorneys, clients, and court personnel. Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including
case intake, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation . Draft, proof, and format correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents. Organize and maintain case files (both electronic and hard copy) and ensure timely filing of court documents. Conduct factual and legal research using court databases, public records, and online tools. Manage discovery production, including document review, indexing, Bates labeling, and maintaining discovery logs. Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and witness meetings. Prepare exhibits, witness binders, and trial notebooks for hearings and trials. Assist in managing deadlines and case calendars. Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel professionally and promptly. Provide trial and hearing support as needed, including travel to court or off-site locations. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
and/or
Paralegal Certificate
from an ABA-approved program. 3+ years of litigation experience
in a law firm or corporate legal department (specific practice area experience preferred). Strong knowledge of
civil procedure
and
court filing rules
(state and/or federal). Proficiency with legal software and tools such as
Clio, iManage, Relativity, CaseMap, TrialDirector, or similar . Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines. Professional demeanor and discretion with confidential information.
