What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Perform advanced technical photogrammetric processing and extraction for design-level mapping and digital terrain models
Coordinate and monitor project timelines within the remote sensing section to ensure deadlines are met
Digitize complex planimetric features and develop solutions for quality control issues
Operate digital stereo workstations and manage project data from various remote sensing platforms
Provide computer support and advice to the remote sensing section and train less experienced specialists
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor\'s Degree in geomatics, cartography, mapping, surveying, or a related discipline
Minimum of 2 years (Remote Sensing Specialist I) or 4 years (Remote Sensing Specialist II) of experience in remote sensing, cartography, mapping, surveying, or related fields
Valid driver’s license at the time of application, as this position requires driving a state vehicle
Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
SPRS Certified Photogrammetrist or ASPRS Certified Lidar Technologist for the Remote Sensing Specialist II position
Knowledge of Mobile and UAS Lidar systems, software, and extraction techniques
Familiarity with Bentley iTwin Capture Modeler, TerraSolid, Hexagon ImageStation, and TopoDOT software
