We operate in schools, homes, the community, and our Taunton offices, empowering clients with evidence‑based behavioral health treatments. CCBC is a non‑profit community mental health center serving 50 communities in Massachusetts. We provide inpatient, outpatient, and urgent care services to adults and children overcoming depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse, and other conditions that hinder personal fulfillment. Position Overview The Community Support Program (CSP) is seeking a Recovery Coach who will support peers to gain hope, explore recovery, and achieve life goals. You will use your lived experience with addiction and/or co‑occurring mental health disorders to build rapport with members in the community. As a member of the CCBC Recovery Coach team, you will share your recovery story and experiences to support members in obtaining and maintaining recovery. Candidates who are multilingual in English and either Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Utilize recovery‑based practices and motivational interviewing to build rapport with members in the community.
Collaborate with members to develop comprehensive Wellness Plans and Relapse Prevention Plans.
Maintain a caseload of up to 30 members, including daily/weekly/monthly documentation and insurance requirements.
Maintain weekly communication with members; interact in person and by phone to aid in recovery from addiction.
Provide information on community, wellness, and recovery resources that meet the member’s needs.
Coordinate and assist in connecting members to addiction and recovery support providers and services, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Accompany members to provider appointments and meetings (AA, faith‑based, etc.) using personal vehicle for transportation.
Collaborate with established natural supports and community providers.
Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or GED.
Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) approved Recovery Coach Training.
Lived recovery experience with at least 2 years of continuous abstinence if in personal recovery.
Strong time‑management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Personal, insured vehicle with a clean driving record (record will be verified).
Preferred Qualifications
Multilingual (able to speak and read Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole, etc.).
