Donor Liaison, Leadership Gift – Provo, UT (Hybrid)

The Philanthropies Department (PHI) helps invite individuals and families to follow the example of the Lord, Jesus Christ by fostering philanthropic giving beyond tithes and fast offering. PHI facilitates and invites voluntary philanthropic giving for approved programs and projects. The Donor Liaison, Leadership Gifts role uses professional experience to create engaging environments that facilitate inspired giving experiences.
Responsibilities Typical allocation: Teaching 30%, Engaging 10%, Coordinating 15%, Inviting 20%, Reporting 25%.
Teach: Explain the process of philanthropy, master case statement details and guide donors starting at the leadership giving level ($5,000+).
Engage: Maintain a portfolio of leadership gift donors and help engage them digitally in meaningful philanthropic activities, building trust.
Coordinate: Collaborate with colleagues and partners to ensure accurate data, contact reports, and timely follow-up.
Invite: Build portfolio relationships, cultivate, invite, and steward donors, recognizing willingness to give at appropriate times.
Report: Return and report on the impact of gifts, review performance dashboards, and report to Sr. Manager, Annual Giving.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree plus 4 or more years of compatible experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Exceptional customer service skills and confidentiality.
Problem‑solving, innovative thinking, self‑motivation, and positive collaboration.
Professional demeanor, appearance, and language; English verbal/written communication.
Computer proficiency and experience with digital outreach platforms (Google Duo, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.).
Excellent time management and organizational skills, detail‑oriented.
Adaptability to change; optimistic; collaborative across teams.
Professional, persistent, patient, respectful, and positive in divergent opinions.
Adherence to Church policies and ethics at all times.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred:
Direct experience in front‑line fundraising, sales, and digital rapport building.
