Assistant Professor of Percussion – Concordia College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position starting August 2026. The department is NASM accredited and the largest unit on campus, with extensive activity in vocal and instrumental lessons and ensembles. Responsibilities

Lead the percussion studio for music majors and non-majors, including graduate and undergraduate students, with responsibilities in recruiting and guiding students toward competitive success in the field. Teach percussion lessons, percussion techniques, and jazz and commercial drum set. Coach percussion chamber music and conduct marimba choir and percussion ensemble. Oversee the growth and development of the Concordia Drumline. Promote innovative and inclusive practices in programming, instruction, and recruitment within the studio, department, and college. Qualifications

Minimum: Doctoral degree in percussion performance; at least three years of university teaching; national/international reputation as a percussionist; expertise in marimba, Latin/world percussion, jazz/commercial drum set, and general percussion. Preferred: Experience composing and arranging for marimba choir; experience teaching graduate students. Position Details
