Part-Time Certified Athletic Trainer

The Bryn Mawr School is looking for a part-time Certified Athletic Trainer to support athletic programming. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player with athletic training qualifications and experience. This is a part-time, 10-month position that reports to the Director of Athletics and closely collaborates with the entire athletic department. Hours are primarily 3-6 p.m. two to three times a week, Monday through Friday depending on the game schedules. Salary range is $35 - $50 per hour.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Following the scope of practice designated by the NATA including injury prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning, organization and administration, and professional responsibility
Communicate regularly with Director of Athletics, Head ATC, School Nurse, athletes, coaches and parents
Provide 1st aid and injury assessment/treatment/ rehabilitation/reconditioning for Bryn Mawr student-athletes
Provide coverage at home events and practices 2-3 times a week from the beginning of the fall sport season to the conclusion of the spring season as well as off season practices
Maintain a line of communication with the Head ATC regarding athletic health care and recommended treatment/rehabilitation for all athletic injuries
Maintain communication with parents on the care & treatment of their student-athlete
File all necessary reports associated with athletic injuries and/or incidents
Maintain a daily treatment log
Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks
Recommended Employment Qualifications minimum of bachelor’s degree, NATABOC certification: Maintain current certification and continuing education requirements as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification, possess or eligible for Maryland licensure, CPR/AED/First Aid certification
