Security Officer - Government Patrol Unarmed

Stamford, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Your presence will help deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication will make a positive impact. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and engage professionally with everyone on site. Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to provide support and assistance. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment. Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as appropriate. Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit to designated areas as directed by site policies. Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, visitors, and fellow team members while on duty. Minimum Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred. A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
