Position Information

Position/Rank : Neuroradiologist - Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

As a Neuroradiologist, you will make a significant impact in the field of neuroradiology and related areas through innovations and contribute to a collegial environment that promotes the clinical and academic growth of the section. This position will provide clinical services, initiate research projects, actively engage in teaching for medical students, residents and fellows, and participate in quality improvement and value initiatives.

The Department offers an outstanding residency and fellowship program and extensive clinical imaging resources, including multiple 3T MRIs, dual-energy CTs, intraoperative MRI, MR-guided focused ultrasound, and PET-CT scanners. In addition, the Department also operates 4 research 3T MRI scanners. We will have a human 7T MRI scanner available by 2025, and pre-clinical imaging resources such as micro PET-MRI and high-tesla MRI are also available.

Qualifications : As a successful candidate, you should be American Board of Radiology (or equivalent) certified or eligible, fellowship-trained with CAQ in Neuroradiology, and have a strong interest in academic radiology. Outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite, and prior evidence of research, productivity, and educational efforts is desired.

Huntsman Cancer Hospital , an NCI-designated premier cancer center, and multiple outpatient centers along the Wasatch Front. Multidisciplinary specialty clinics include stroke, brain tumor, skull base tumors, head & neck cancer, movement disorders, epilepsy, cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, and neuro-ophthalmology. Our team of 14 faculty members with eight fellows is known for excellence in clinical care, education, and research internationally.

Research opportunities abound, with the resources described above, as well as the world-class unique support provided by the

Utah Center for Advanced Imaging Research (UCAIR)

in the Department. UCAIR offers international expertise in imaging sciences, including basic sciences, physics and engineering, MRI research, Focused Ultrasound, and CT and PET research. The University of Utah Health Sciences offers various leadership programs and research training opportunities for faculty members.
