Broadcast Technology Specialist – Media Infrastructure

Lawo designs, manufactures, and sells cutting-edge networked video, audio, and control systems for television and radio production as well as live performance applications all over the world.
This position can be based anywhere in the US or Canada, with travel to on-site customers.
You will be a part of a team that delivers cutting‑edge IP‑based SMPTE 2110 broadcast infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
Commissioning, configuration, and programming (on‑site or remote) of delivered products with a focus on IP media infrastructure projects.
Technical troubleshooting (remote/on‑site).
Technical consulting and conceptual design (proof of concept).
Pre‑sales and after‑sales support.
Close collaboration with the Lawo headquarters in Germany.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education in broadcast, audio, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience in the broadcast environment, with a focus on engineering.
Experience with IP projects, specifically SMPTE 2110 networking expertise with respect to Layer 3 environments and multicast workflow.
Passion for new technology.
Structured way of working and problem‑solving ability driven by delivering service excellence.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Readiness for international travel.
Ability to work alone with little or no supervision.
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Moderately proficient with Python, Linux, and Kubernetes.
Experience in Docker and Ansible is preferred.
