POSITION:

Bus Driver - Weld Re-8 Schools

(Class B CDL Driver) ; starts in early August. Training provided.

HOURLY RATE RANGE:

$16.71/hr.- $27.25/hr depending on previous work experience. Position is 5.50 hrs. - 6.50 hrs. /171-Days depending on route driven. PAID CDL Training provided. Great job with employee benefits, inquire by calling 303-857-7380 , Angela Donadio

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Applicant must be 21 years of age Good driving record required (submit Motor Vehicle Record with application) Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required Pass DOT medical examination and pre-employment controlled substance testing Pass required Commercial Driver License written examinations (Class B with P2S Endorsement) Pass the Adverse Weather and Mountain Driving State Written Exams Pass the Colorado Dept. Of Education School Bus Drivers Rules and Regulations Exam Pass Random Controlled Substance Testing Pass Annual recertification testing Applicant must have the ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions Ability to work in school setting or with school age children preferred - must like kids! Experience driving truck/bus or operating heavy equipment a plus.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Performs Pre/Post trip inspections on school bus Drives Morning and afternoon Route Cleans buses as needed Keeps inspection and driver logs Knowledge of School safety policies and procedures Uses positive verbal and non-verbal skills when working with school personnel and community members at all times Respond to emergencies Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Bus driver hours may vary on student instructional days per student calendar. Additional hours available at times for field trips, activity trips (sports, band, clubs), etc. All employee agreements for new hire personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education. Direct deposit is a condition of employment. No smoking is allowed in any Weld County School District Re 8 buildings. Selected applicant must comply with the District's Drug-Free Workplace policy, DOT physical and drug screening As required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), the selected applicant must verify, within 72 hours of employment, his/her legal right to be employed in the United States.
