to provide excellent patient care and accurate specimen collection at our Bristol Patient Service Center in Bristol, CT.
Key Responsibilities: Perform quality blood draws on patients of all ages
pediatrics through geriatrics Handle both forensic and clinical specimen collections following established procedures Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper specimen labeling Maintain required records and documentation accurately and timely Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and patient confidentiality Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient operations and exceptional service
Requirements: Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA) Reliable transportation and valid drivers license required Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Keyboard/data entry experience preferred
Additional Information: Training locations may vary based on trainer availability Must complete a phlebotomy course (no state license required) This is a
contract position
