Responsibilities Position is in the Nursing Float Pool at a hospital setting Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5 Required to float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and boarding units 12-hour rotating shifts with 4-week blocks of days (7a-7:30p) and nights (7p-7:30a) Every other weekend required; days include Saturday and Sunday, nights include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Floating may occur in 4-hour blocks during a shift Assignment length is 13 weeks Epic EMR system is used and prior experience is required Must pass day one Tele/ECG and medication tests, with practice modules available in advance No Christmas time off will be approved RTO (requested time off) must be submitted for consideration Parking rates may apply for those working in Boston locations First-time travelers will be considered only if they have Level 1 trauma experience Requirements Active MA RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS (AHA) certification required ACLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications preferred Prior experience with Epic EMR required Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required if no travel experience Must be separated from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility employment for at least 6 months to be eligible COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccination required (medical exemptions allowed) Not open to candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-631948.
