Position Summary

The Team Lead, Amazon & Ecommerce will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for leading the Company's North American digital business, including ownership of Amazon (1P) and direct-to-consumer channels. This person will play a pivotal role as a thought leader in ecommerce with a direct impact on Amazon strategy, vendor negotiations, and digital retail transformation.

The Team Lead, Amazon & Ecommerce is responsible for shaping and running the Amazon and iHerb businesses inside the company. This person is central to redefining our GTM approach: moving from a 1P heavy model to a balanced 1P & 3P hybrid, rationalizing the catalog, and ensuring this role supports, not undermines, our brick-and-mortar business.

The Team Lead, Amazon & Ecommerce is responsible for building and executing an aggressive growth strategy, managing performance across digital marketplaces, and leading a cross-functional team focused on revenue acceleration, brand elevation, and customer acquisition.

Essential Tasks, Duties, & Responsibilities

Amazon Leadership & Marketplace Strategy
  • Serve as the company's executive Amazon owner and subject matter expert, setting the strategic vision and leading all aspects of the Amazon business
  • Own the long-range planning (LRP) and annual vendor negotiations (AVNs) process with Amazon, including vendor negotiations, funding efficiency, and brand equity preservation
  • Act as the senior point of contact for Amazon Vendor Managers and internal cross-functional leaders, ensuring alignment on financial KPIs, promotional strategy, and customer excellence
  • Lead 3-year strategic planning to outperform category growth benchmarks and continuously unlock new revenue streams
  • Define, track, and report against critical KPIs (e.g., CAARS: Content, Assortment, Availability, Ratings & Reviews, Search)
  • Transform marketplace data into insights to inform content strategy, pricing, promotions, and inventory planning
  • Lead the development of Amazon Media (AMS/PPC) strategies and invest in performance marketing with a clear focus on ROI
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management
DTC and Omnichannel Ecommerce
  • Lead strategies around site merchandising, conversion optimization, and customer acquisition
  • Partner with brand, marketing, media teams, and customer teams to develop and execute fully integrated digital campaigns across all retail.com channels
  • Optimize promotional calendars, site UX, and customer journeys to drive conversion and LTV
  • Implement scalable SOPs and governance across Ecommerce operations and merchandising
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business-related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of leadership managing high-performing ecommerce or marketing teams.
  • 6+ Years of Marketing or Brand Experience
  • Prior experience selling products as a vendor via Amazon is a MUST
  • Experience in a strategy- or analytics-focused role, working on projects that have enabled building strong quantitative skills and business judgment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of the Digital Media and Beauty industries
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Vendor Central
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized ability to multi-task
  • Appreciation for a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Aptitude for working with Internet tools (i.e. web-based reports, databases and various multimedia technologies)
  • Ability to think creatively and comfortable providing input around innovation & new concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a brand advocate and team player
