Departmental Overview The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics consists of more than 275 staff members and coaches and sponsors 30 varsity sports programs. These 30 programs include more than 850 student‑athletes who participate in the various sports programs annually within the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA).

Position Summary Designs, develops, delivers, and administers fundraising programs. Identifies new donor prospects, develops materials and marketing plans, cultivates, stewards, and solicits donor prospects.

Responsibilities

Cultivate, Solicit and Steward Annual Fund Donors: Identify and manage a portfolio of at least 100 annual fund prospects.

Establish and manage effective relationships with prospects and annual fund donors.

Identify and evaluate potential donors; design and implement prospect cultivation and solicitation strategies.

Complete 10 to 15 substantive contacts per month with an emphasis on quality personal visits.

Provide stewardship for assigned prospects.

Act as a liaison to specific sports to provide alumni relations services to designated friends' groups and constituents.

Design and implement targeted and cost‑effective special alumni events and board meetings.

Assist the Associate AD of Development and UDAR partners in executing mass solicitation strategies.

Ensure predetermined fundraising goals are met by analyzing progress and working with stakeholders.

Communicate to transactional donors attached to tickets to ensure requirements are met.

Potential for expanded responsibilities, including supervision of team members after initial success.

Required Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of all aspects of fundraising, donor relations, and public relations concepts, principles, procedures, and techniques.

Advanced working knowledge of location, current issues, vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievements and infrastructure.

Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, etc.

Advanced written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, including political acumen.

Ability to make persuasive and compelling presentations of goals and objectives for the location.

Advanced organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills and strong project management skills.

Very strong skills in maintaining confidentiality.

Thorough knowledge of fundraising, donor relations and public relations concepts, principles, techniques, procedures and practices.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Salary & Benefits The budgeted annual salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $112,400.00 – $118,000.00.

This is an exempt, monthly‑paid position.
