The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in job costing, cash flow management, project profitability, and financial forecasting to help guide our company's growth and improve financial performance. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial Leadership

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals and growth plans. Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, including bidding, contracting, and project management. Advise ownership and executive team on risk management, capital allocation, and long‑term planning. Financial Planning & Analysis

Oversee cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling for multiple projects. Evaluate project profitability, cost structure, and return on investment. Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial performance reports. Operational Finance Oversight

Improve internal controls, accounting systems, and reporting processes. Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate job costing and timely billing. Oversee WIP reporting, change order tracking, and revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP. Banking, Insurance, & Compliance

Manage relationships with banks, bonding companies, and insurance providers. Support bonding capacity reviews and compliance with loan covenants. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and regulatory requirements. Leadership & Mentoring

Mentor and support accounting and finance staff. Collaborate with leadership on financial training, process improvement, and systems integration (e.g., Quickbooks, Procore, Kojo). Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred). Minimum 10+ years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in the construction industry. Proven experience with job costing, WIP schedules, percentage‑of‑completion accounting, and project‑based financial reporting. Strong understanding of construction contracts, including AIA billing, retainage, and subcontractor management. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Experience with construction‑specific software systems is highly desirable.
