Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Charlottesville, VA 22908 (Virginia healthcare jobs) Setting: Pediatric Float Pool (PICU, NICU, Pediatric MedSurg, Pediatric ED, Postpartum/Mother Baby) Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date: November 24, 2025 Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 or 48 hours/week Schedule: Every other weekend; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays Time Off: Up to 40 hours pre-approved per contract Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2130 - $2190 PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience required NICU experience and ability to float to pediatric units required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state (pending license accepted) Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate (can be pending at submission) Epic EMR charting experience required Previous travel nursing experience required BSN preferred Professional references required Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Pediatric Float Pool Nurse Responsibilities Float between PICU, NICU, Acute Pediatrics, Pediatric ED, and occasionally L&D/Mother Baby as needed Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with complex diagnoses Perform advanced pediatric and neonatal nursing skills, including ventilator management, ECMO, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-surgical care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive, family-centered care Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR Adhere to hospital float pool policies and demonstrate flexibility in assignments Participate in orientation and complete all required training modules Why Choose Charlottesville, VA for Your Next Nursing Job?
