POSITION DESCRIPTION The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Educational Program Coordinator to join our team of professionals. Duties include: Manages the onboarding, assignment, and training of all undergraduate and graduate level learners to the Neighborhood Help (NHELP) program including but not limited to medical, nursing, social work, Physician Assistant (PA), Graduate Medical Education (GME), and other health science learners. Responsible for collecting and distributing required administrative documentation associated with educational placements. Facilitates the onboarding and training of FIU faculty in collaboration with their reporting department to the NHELP program. Completing onboarding checklist and reviewing Emergency Medical Record (EMR) and NHELP Portal workflows. Responsible for coordination of rotation dates and requirements with education programs both internal and external to HWCOM. Tracks attendance and keeps required documentation. Ensures timely communication between educational program and NeighborhoodHELP including but not limited to completion of evaluations and/or surveys. Responsible for submitting access requests for all learners following HWCOM policies and procedures to include access to clinical platforms and POI requests. Responsible for ordering, preparing, and distributing medical supply bags for residents and providing other medical supplies, as needed, to learners. Serves as the NHELP liaison for all learners and educational programs and participates in meetings as needed to facilitate the educational experience and program goals. Provides back up support to the Patient Client Access staff, as needed. Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
