Job Details Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic
Location: Pueblo, CO - Pueblo, CO 81001 US (Primary)
Position Summary The Aircraft Mechanic plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and airworthiness of The Rockhill Group’s fleet. This position performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on DA-42 aircraft and ensures all work complies with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidance, and company maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair on DA-42 aircraft.
Troubleshoot, service, and modify aircraft systems including avionics, electrical, engine, flight controls, and airframe components.
Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment such as shears, brakes, welders, rivet guns, and drills to complete maintenance tasks.
Conduct preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections.
Service aircraft systems including lubrication, cleaning filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
Read and interpret manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications to determine proper repair methods.
Document all discrepancies and maintenance actions accurately in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
Ensure compliance with all FAA, customer, and company policies and procedures.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the work area.
Perform engine run or taxi operations (after training and authorization).
Support the Director of Maintenance with other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a practicing aircraft mechanic.
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
A&P license may substitute for 18 months of experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid state driver’s license.
Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
Working Conditions
Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, including exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
May work in high noise environments and be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or electrical hazards.
Must be physically capable of performing mechanic duties, including standing, squatting, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Reporting Relationship Reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.
