Our firm seeks an experienced Senior Tax Accountant with a drive to interact with clients and learn the public accounting industry directly from partners. Our office is in Midtown Manhattan, NY with flexibility to work partially remote. Our ideal candidate will prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns. The candidate will also work on other accounting projects including audit engagements. Our firm continues to grow and the opportunity to grow into a larger role is very present. We are looking for great people that have a strong interest in tax and/or audit.
Responsibilities for Senior Tax Accountant:
Preparation of individual, partnership, corporate, fiduciary, and tax-exempt entity tax returns
Preparation and/or review of tax projections, sales tax returns, and other tax forms
Assist Partners with tax audits including responding to tax notices, corresponding with auditors, and organizing client files
Tax research related to more complex tax situations and/or changes in tax law
Communicate directly with clients to serve specific needs and identify potential value-added solutions
Work directly with partners and colleagues to maximize firm efficiency and act as an internal resource based on knowledge and experience
Qualifications for Senior Tax Accountant:
2-4 years of tax preparation experience, including management of individual, fiduciary, and business clients
CPA License preferred
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, Master’s preferred
Proficiency in ProSystem Tax or Axcess Tax
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Compensation:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year based on experience
