Location: Coddle Creek Animal Hospital, Concord, North Carolina. The hospital is a 4 DVM practice located in the piedmont of North Carolina, just minutes from the Charlotte area and Lake Norman, with easy access to the Carolina coast and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
About This Location Coddle Creek Animal Hospital was founded in 1996 and offers full‑service veterinary care to canine and feline patients. We use Avimark veterinary software and Idexx for all diagnostic needs, with in‑house equipment including Lasercyte, Sedivue, Catalyst, digital dental X‑ray and DR X‑ray. A Navi Vet Ultrasound was purchased in the last two years. We have four exam rooms, an isolation room, a comfort room, and a spacious surgical suite. Our goal is to provide personalized care with exceptional hospitality, fostering a collaborative, supportive DVM approach. We use the WAG approach—Work Together, Amaze, Grow—to create a positive team environment and treat clients with utmost respect.
Overview The Veterinarian is responsible for providing high‑quality care to our patients while developing rapport with their owners. In addition to physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry, client communication and education are essential. Mission Pet Health Veterinarians treat each pet and client like part of the family.
Responsibilities / Qualifications
Develop a rapport with clients, determine their needs, perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures with the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress.
Explain examination findings, communicate diagnoses to clients, present treatment plans, and educate on preventative health care, vaccines, and appropriate nutrition.
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and ensure all logs are up‑to‑date through established protocols; assist colleagues with follow‑up and future management.
Stay up‑to‑date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine; attend continuing education meetings.
Assist in developing the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Treat every client like family and each patient like your own pet.
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of application.
Professional comportment and appearance with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly with fellow team members.
Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
Compassionate team player who can uphold a great reputation with clients.
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
Proficiency in surgery a plus.
