Location:

Maine Medical Center, Sanford, ME

Employment:

Full Time (40 hrs) – Day Shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Sign‑on Bonus:

$10,000.00 for Radiation Therapists (prorated for part‑time employees; per diem hires ineligible). Current MaineHealth employees and former employees separated less than six months are ineligible.

Summary:

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for monitoring and calibrating machine functions, instructing students, and shielding and positioning patients as prescribed in the individual treatment plan.

Qualifications:

Education: Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, physics, chemistry, radiation safety, radiation therapy procedures, techniques, equipment and safety and health precautions; generally acquired through completion of an approved 2‑year program in Radiation Therapy Technology.

License/Certifications: Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy and current applicable state license as a Radiation Therapist through the ARRT.

Experience: Proficiency in performing radiation therapy treatments generally acquired through on‑the‑job training and experience.
