About the Role The Superintendent will lead all field operations for K-12 school projects, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This person will coordinate trades, manage site logistics, and drive daily progress from groundbreak through closeout.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day field activities including scheduling, crew assignments, and subcontractor coordination
Lead safety efforts on site, enforce company and OSHA standards, and promote a proactive safety culture
Review plans and specifications, identify constructability issues, and work closely with the project team to resolve conflicts before they impact progress
Develop and maintain the project schedule, update look-ahead plans, and hold weekly coordination meetings
Track labor, materials, and equipment to maintain productivity and budget goals
Inspect ongoing work for compliance with contract documents and company quality standards
Maintain accurate documentation such as daily logs, reports, and progress photos
Support project closeout including punch list management, owner training, and turnover documentation
Qualifications
5+ years of field leadership experience on commercial or institutional projects.
Strong working knowledge of scheduling, field coordination, and quality control practices
Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct crews
Experience in education construction preferred
