My client is a fast‑growing, private equity‑backed aggregator focused on acquiring and integrating service businesses. Backed by leading investors, they are building a scalable platform that drives operational efficiency and financial excellence across our portfolio.
They are seeking an accounting manager to lead core accounting operations, ensure accurate consolidated reporting, and support integration and growth initiatives across our expanding group of companies.
Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including GL maintenance, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close.
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple subsidiaries.
Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial reporting for management and investors.
Maintain and enforce accounting policies and internal controls across entities.
PE & Aggregator‑Specific Responsibilities
Lead financial integration of newly acquired entities (chart of accounts alignment, system migration, process harmonization).
Support due diligence, purchase accounting (PPA), and post‑acquisition adjustments.
Partner with FP&A and PE stakeholders to provide financial insights, KPIs, and variance analysis.
Assist in external audits, lender compliance, and covenant reporting.
Systems, Processes & Controls
Improve accounting workflows to support scale (automation, ERP optimization, close checklists, etc.).
Implement scalable processes to manage multi‑entity, multi‑location operations.
Oversee accounting software and integration tools (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct).
Supervise and develop staff accountants and/or outsourced accounting teams.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, M&A, and FP&A teams.
Act as a key finance liaison to external auditors, tax advisors, and lenders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required or strongly preferred.
5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting (Big 4 or mid‑tier).
Prior experience in a PE‑backed, multi‑entity, or aggregator environment strongly preferred.
Deep knowledge of US GAAP, consolidation accounting, and acquisition‑related accounting (ASC 805).
Experience implementing or managing ERP systems (Netacct, etc.).
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving, high‑growth environment.
