Primary duties and responsibilities will be:

Proactively implements all safety and risk management programs and initiatives through partnerships with all department managers and production employees across two locations near each other.

Ensure all facilities are compliant with OSHA standards and requirements.

Continually monitor work environment and intervene when unsafe practices or behaviors are observed.

Conducts investigations involving near misses, incidents and accidents and ensures appropriate corrective action is taken.

Analyzes positions to identify any risks associated with the job’s tasks and properly documents findings.

Leads the plant safety committees and in doing so, coordinates meetings, agenda, and action items/ideas follow-through.

Implements facility safety audits; responsible for all safety reporting/recordkeeping.

Develops and facilitates safety training.

Interacts and establishes safe work practices with contractors.

Serves as point person for any/all correspondence and interaction with OSHA, EPA, and City.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, in Occupational Safety & Hygiene Management, Environmental Management, or equivalent.

Three (3) + years of experience in a similar position.

CSP, CIH or equivalent certification desired.

Demonstrated knowledge of training principles and techniques.

Understanding of EPA and other regulatory requirements desired

Experience with environmental compliance and permits desired

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Bilingual in English/Spanish is desired

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The annual salary for this position ranges from $104,000 in our lowest market up to $127,000 in our highest market, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
