Material Supervisor 2nd & 3rd Shift (BSA 1, Montgomery, AL)
The Material Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of all incoming shipments and merchandise at our company. This position will manage the receiving department and its staff, ensuring that all items are received, stored, and distributed in an organized and timely manner.
About Mobis North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, which are key parts to produce electric vehicles, based on state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.
Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
Responsibilities
Manage all receiving operations, including unloading and sorting of deliveries
Ensure that all incoming shipments are accurately and promptly processed
Supervise and train receiving staff
Monitor the accuracy of all receiving records, including inventory and stock levels
Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment
Identify and resolve receiving and inventory discrepancies
Monitor and control operational costs
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate operations
Develop and implement strategies to optimize process
Pilot/Prototype/IAA/PER sample schedule control
Safety stock optimization and Min, Max Analysis
Obsolescence part control and claim management
Good relationships and communication with suppliers and other teams
Incoming parts/containers, Stock Transfer management
Analysis and report Pending ASN, GR Error verification
Daily and Weekly GR Verification
DMR/RMA report and packing slip creation, as well as maintenance history log
Free of Change samples, return to vendor, in and out samples or parts, and quality issue parts management.
OS&D process follow‑up and reporting (material handlers, logistics issue)
Communicate with office members on clerical procedures involved in processing purchase orders, delivery packing slip and POD, maintenance of records, files vendors
Communicate with receiving clerk, and other teams for problem‑solving
Management outsourcing warehouse inventory (If necessary)
Incoming part counting/inspection/sorting (if necessary)
Inventory Accuracy (Cycle Counting, Inventory Accuracy, Action) including unpacking and repacking
Analysis and report root cause of daily cycle counting variance
Analysis and report of regular/irregular physical inventory
PDA cycle counting and verification
Label inventory stocks for delivery if required
Monitor inventory FIFO and high rack inventory accuracy
Production Feeding Process Management
Incoming Material management including LP and CKD Suppliers
KPI and Reporting
Report inventory turnover days and amount (on a weekly/monthly basis)
Analyze and report daily cycle counting/physical inventory results, and evaluate root causes
Monitoring ASN, GR, Backlog, Hot parts, and parts transfer (daily)
Monitoring and verifying daily or weekly GR verification (payment if needed)
Issue and create DMR, and RMA logs (daily basis)
Extra/Expedite/Cancel load frequency review (monthly)
Optimize truckload and utilization (per shipment)
Comply with Customer/Department specific documents (K: Drive)
The responsible supplier list will be defined by materials manager.
Performs special assignments as delegated.

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred
Relevant experience in receiving and inventory management
Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment
Proficient in MS Office
Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds
4+ years of hands‑on leadership experience in warehousing and distribution.
Food grade operations & various forklift truck and warehouse experience.
Working experience with Hyundai / Kia / MOBIS
Experienced in automotive assembly/manufacturing

Operational skill to multiple types of warehouse equipment (standup & seat type of forklift, tugger, hand jack and so on)
