Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
The Gauge Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the site’s calibration and measurement systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and reliability. This role manages the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of gauge and calibration processes, maintaining equipment traceability and adherence to customer, regulatory, and quality standards. The position includes leading gauge management programs, supporting audits, training personnel, and driving process improvements across metrology operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a proactive approach to maintaining measurement accuracy and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and oversee gauge and calibration activities to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Manage calibration schedules, equipment records, and traceability documentation.
Lead gauge management programs, including new equipment qualification and periodic verification.
Support internal and external audits related to metrology and measurement systems.
Analyze measurement system performance and implement corrective or preventive actions.
Train and mentor team members on gauge control, calibration standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure consistent measurement integrity.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metrology, or a related technical field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or quality engineering.
Knowledge of calibration methods, gauge management practices, and documentation requirements.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurement data.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading calibration or metrology teams in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and related quality or accreditation standards.
Proficiency in statistical tools for measurement system analysis (MSA).
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to drive cross-functional collaboration.
