Overview We Energies (a WEC Energy Group subsidiary) is seeking an experienced truck driver and warehouse worker for our Pewaukee, Wisconsin location. The Heavy Equipment Specialist will deliver materials to internal customers and contractors, handling material logistics and operating heavy equipment.
Job Summary Provide quality services supporting our business units, moving equipment and materials to substations, job sites, service centers, vendors, and assisting with tactical applications throughout the WE service territory. Operate heavy equipment and trucks, prepare sites, and maintain vehicle compliance.
Responsibilities
Move and operate job site trailers, transport cranes, piggyback forklifts.
Operate various types of equipment (electric pallet movers, forklifts, diesel & gas-powered machinery, cranes, specialized handling equipment).
Maintain and inspect equipment for proper working order.
Identify materials/equipment to be loaded/unloaded; ensure manifest matches truckload and vehicles meet DOT regulations.
Load/unload trucks, haul hazardous materials (lead, asbestos, PCBs, etc.).
Perform point‑of‑use drop of materials and supplies using maps and construction prints.
Spot pre‑assemblies and transformers using truck‑mounted cranes.
Coordinate delivery of oversized materials/equipment: schedule delivery, plot route, obtain permits.
Remove electrical distribution and transmission material; roll scrap conductors, lift, carry, load, unload scrap.
Perform site clean‑up and coordinate scrap collection.
Qualifications
Experience as a truck driver and warehouse worker.
Proficient operating heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and power industrial equipment.
Ability to work independently at remote locations and collaboratively within a team.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
