Base Pay Range
$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Perform day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), payroll processing, journal entries, and general ledger (GL) maintenance.
Prepare and review financial statements and reports in compliance with governmental accounting standards.
Conduct account reconciliations and verify the accuracy of financial data and supporting documentation.
Process and audit invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests to ensure proper authorization and compliance with procurement policies.
Assist in the development, monitoring, and analysis of budgets and financial forecasts.
Prepare and maintain accurate records for grants, contracts, and special projects to ensure proper fund tracking and reporting.
Support annual audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
Ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations, internal policies, and accounting procedures.
Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal adjustments and accruals.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, enhance internal controls, and promote efficiency.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in government accounting.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
Compensation $70,000 - $80,000
