Revenue Accountant
Position:
Revenue Accountant
About the Role We are looking for a Revenue Accountant with a foundational understanding of ASC 606 and a willingness to grow into a more advanced revenue accounting role. This position offers exposure to SaaS revenue processes, automation initiatives, and system improvements. Ideal candidates will have some experience with revenue recognition and a strong interest in learning and developing technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in reviewing customer contracts for ASC 606 considerations.
Support month‑end close activities, including revenue reporting and variance analysis.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations ensure accurate revenue recognition.
Help implement process improvements and automation initiatives to reduce manual work.
Participate in system‑related projects, including testing and documentation.
Respond to auditor inquiries and assist with drafting accounting memos.
Contribute to scaling revenue processes as the organization grows.
Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Basic understanding of ASC 606 principles and revenue recognition concepts.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; detail‑oriented.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SaaS revenue accounting.
Exposure to Workday Financials or Salesforce.
CPA license or progress toward certification.
