Assistant Controller – Global Manufacturing Division

The Opportunity Reporting to the Global Controller, the
Assistant Controller
will be responsible for overseeing the division’s accounting and reporting activities, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance, strong internal controls, and accurate financial results across global regions. This highly visible role will partner with finance leaders in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, driving process improvement, standardization, and business support.
The position also serves as a
succession‑ready leadership opportunity , with clear potential to advance into a future Controller role within the broader enterprise.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis
Lead monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring timely and accurate consolidation and reporting.
Review financial statements, account reconciliations, and analytical reports for accuracy and completeness.
Partner with FP&A and regional finance teams to provide financial insights and drive informed decision‑making.
Support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.
Technical Accounting & Controls
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and SOX control requirements.
Research complex accounting issues and provide technical guidance to business and regional finance teams.
Coordinate external and internal audits, acting as a key point of contact for auditors.
Lead initiatives to improve controls, policies, and accounting processes across entities.
Operational Finance Partnership
Support accounting for manufacturing operations, including standard costing, inventory, and absorption.
Collaborate with supply chain and operations leaders to improve reporting accuracy and cost visibility.
Provide guidance on capital investments, reserves, and financial statement impacts.
Leadership & Development
Mentor and support local accounting teams across multiple regions.
Partner with senior leadership to align financial reporting with strategic objectives.
Identify and execute continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally a mix of public accounting and industry.
Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting.
Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or global multi‑entity environments preferred.
Strong technical accounting, analytical, and communication skills.
Hands‑on approach with the ability to balance strategic initiatives and detailed execution.
Proven success building relationships across global teams.
