Shift:

This position typically operates Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm. However, to gain essential insights into our operations, the selected candidate must initially work a few months on the night shift from Sunday to Thursday, 4:00pm to close. This position is located onsite at our facility in Buford, GA. Remote or hybrid work options are not available. This role supports our AmerisourceBergen business, delivering crucial supply chain services to healthcare providers across the U.S. Under the general supervision of the Systems Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective operation of automated equipment in our fully automated Distribution Center, while also mentoring junior technician associates. Your technical expertise will be essential for diagnosing electrical controls issues at the component level, which includes capacitors, inductors, diodes, LEDs, transistors, pressure transducers, flow meters, and more. Implement and oversee effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems.

Diagnose and repair issues related to Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking Systems occurring within the Distribution Center.

Supervise maintenance, modifications, and upgrades of Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System controls.

Evaluate the efficiency of materials handling equipment and automated systems and suggest necessary modifications.

Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to sustain productivity within warehouse operations.

Manage and maintain the CMMS/EAM system regarding repairs necessary and completed on equipment.

Oversee the inventory management of spare parts.

Be prepared to work extended hours as needed to achieve productivity targets.

Execute related duties as assigned.

Education: Some vocational technical training or equivalent experience required, usually needing at least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience with a strong electrical background preferred.

Skills and Knowledge: Comprehensive technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

Proficient in reading and interpreting CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams.

Ability to diagnose and rectify both electrical and mechanical issues, including those related to various electrical systems up to 600 volts.

Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and ability to load and modify programs.

Experience with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and MHE software.

Strong analytical skills to effectively identify and solve maintenance-related problems.

Excellent mentoring skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
