Executive Director — SCGA Junior Golf Foundation
SCGA Junior Golf Foundation (SCGA JGF) is the charitable arm of the Southern California Golf Association, dedicated to building an inclusive golf community that empowers kids in Southern California to thrive on and beyond the course.
We are seeking an Executive Director to drive the organization into its next era of growth, partnering with a seasoned Board, leading a staff of more than 25, and advancing our mission through fundraising, program development, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
Lead the Foundation’s strategic planning, vision, and operational execution in partnership with the Board and SCGA.
Oversee all staff, budgeting, finance, communications, marketing, development, and programming functions.
Serve as the primary ambassador and liaison to partners, supporters, and the broader golf and civic community.
Champion fundraising, developing and stewarding total income of at least $3.75 million, expanding corporate partnerships and cultivating high‑net‑worth donors.
Direct program development and management, ensuring safety, impact measurement, and alignment with the Foundation’s mission.
Maintain and grow business relationships, monitor contracts, and represent the Foundation in SCGA operations.
Collaborate with the SCGA communications and marketing department to manage internal and external messaging.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degrees or certifications in nonprofit leadership, development, or management valued).
7–10 years of nonprofit management and development experience, including fundraising and strategic planning.
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
First Aid and CPR training required.
Deep commitment to youth development, equity, and inclusivity.
Professional experience in golf, or strong understanding of the Southern California golf landscape.
Excellent leadership, staff development, and Board‑relationship skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Foundation Management & Leadership – strategic plan implementation, Board collaboration, operations oversight, and staff development.
Development & Fundraising – goal‑based planning for $3.75 million, donor stewardship, and partnership building.
Program Development & Management – program alignment, safety, impact assessment, and reporting.
Compensation and Benefits Salary: up to $250,000.00, commensurate with experience, plus a generous benefits package.
