Job Overview Our company is seeking a skilled VP, Software Development Manager to help drive the development of multiple projects across diverse technologies. You will work with a motivated team in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, mentor and inspire a dedicated team of onshore and offshore developers to architect, build, deploy and support best‑in‑class software solutions for internal and external customers.
Manage multiple concurrent teams and initiatives. Estimate, plan and slice projects to deliver frequent value to production.
Leverage technical expertise and the latest tech stack to implement software development best practices. Implement application resiliency, scalability and performance design.
Collaborate across business units and product teams to build product vision and deliver business value.
Work actively with quality assurance engineers, release management and DevOps to ensure all SDLC processes are adhered to.
Manage day‑to‑day activities of the pod using Agile/Scrum methodology.
Develop technical documentation to define the system components and workflows.
Integrate reports, key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics packages for the technology team.
Requirements
10+ years of professional software development experience in complex systems design and implementation (Web, REST/SOAP, Python).
Mastery of front‑end technologies/languages such as AngularJS (ideally v8+), HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JSON.
5+ years in a technical team leadership capacity.
3+ years of experience building cloud‑native solutions on AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda/Glue, CloudWatch).
Deep expertise with source control (GIT or TFS) and CI/CD (TeamCity, Octopus).
Strong understanding of SOA principles, design patterns and hands‑on experience in SQL Server procedures, views, indexes and performance tuning.
Core Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Risk management and contingency planning.
Innovative, self‑driven and a quick learner who stays abreast of latest technologies.
Experience deploying, operating and managing services in AWS or other cloud environments.
Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Experience with unit test coverage using technologies such as VS Tests, NUnit, JUnit, MUnit, Jasmine/Karma.
Hands‑on experience implementing self‑service portals.
Experience developing customer service applications.
Strong sense for code architecture, design principles and estimation techniques.
Pay Range $155,288 – $258,813 per year.
