Position Information Salary Range:

Up to $62,000 - $68,000 per year, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary The Senior Program Manager ensures the efficient and effective management of building operations, events and engagement support. Serve as a key liaison for the facilities and operational logistics, working collaboratively with leadership, faculty, staff, students and campus to advance institutional goals and priorities.

Core Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of classrooms, offices, shared spaces and event areas to ensure readiness and functionality.

Serve as primary liaison with maintenance, housekeeping and grounds services to address facility space and needs.

Track and coordinate office moves and serve as the Authorized Requestor for access for faculty, students and staff.

Maintain operational standards through regular inspections and oversight of furniture procurement and recommendations.

Manage annual inventories.

Coordinate and ensure facility readiness for campus events in partnership with the Senior Events Manager, including plans and preparations, room setup and post‑event cleanup.

Support SPI and SPII operations, VIP level engagements and tours, serving as the key liaison with campus and community partners.

Work jointly with the Senior Events Manager to hire, train and manage learning workers, providing expectations and assigning tasks that support daily operations, building, event and tour support.

Collaborate with Registrar and academic departments to maximize classroom utilization and course offerings. Utilize various tools such as Institutional Research (IR) and Report Center.

Support special projects and initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.

Collaborate with campus police and emergency management to oversee building security and serve as the lead liaison for emergency preparedness, including safety protocols, drills, evacuation plans and training for San Pedro I and San Pedro II.

Coordinate and promote safety and security training opportunities for faculty, staff and learning workers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Six (6) years of experience in program management.

This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated independent decision‑making and problem‑solving ability.

Tact, diplomacy, and judgment are necessary in dealing with others.

Able to develop and implement goals and objectives aligned with the program's mission.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Understanding of program management techniques and methods.

Working Conditions

Office environment.

Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.

Occasional weekend and after‑hours work or overtime may be required.

Physical Demands

Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.

Exerts up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally.

This position will work primarily

on campus . Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
