Regional Sales Director – Data Center – Mission Critical
Eaton’s North American Sales division is currently seeking a Regional Sales Director for its Data Center – Mission Critical business. This role can be based in Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN; Orlando, FL; Raleigh, NC; or Smyrna, GA, and will lead local sales initiatives throughout the Southeast region. Relocation assistance is available for candidates who reside outside a 50-mile radius of these locations. What You’ll Do
Act as a sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top line sales objectives are met. Responsible for providing strategy to identify and develop prospective new customers. Develop an annual strategic plan and annual budget. Keep current on trends and significant issues and provide direction for strategic planning; ensure the region maintains effective relationships with customers. Work effectively with customers and Channel Partners within the region and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers. Review monthly forecasts and partner with the finance/accounting department to ensure numbers are met. Lead and develop the sales team to ensure growth for the business and its team members. Maintain budgetary responsibility for the territory and manage sales teams throughout the assigned region to effectively allocate company resources and assets. Advise senior management of customer and competitive developments that impact sales growth and profitability and recommend strategies and decision options to counteract market pressures. Work closely with product divisions to implement strategies focused on geographic, customer, industry, and market needs. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 10 years of sales or marketing experience. Minimum 5 years of experience as a manager of people. Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license. Eaton will not consider applicants for immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. MBA. Minimum 12 years of sales or marketing experience. Experience leading leaders. Direct sales experience in the electrical industry. Prior P&L experience. Knowledge of data center sales process including products, applications, and complex channels of distribution. Experience in an indirect sales model with agents and distribution. Skills
Strong management of people skills, talent selection and recruitment. Demonstrated ability to manage conflict. Providing development opportunities for employees. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong team player that actively contributes to the group's success. Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong organizational skills. Proven organizational and multi‑tasking skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance workload. Must be able to travel domestically up to 50% of the time. The compensation range for this full‑time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. Target total compensation range is $183,750.00 – $269,500.00.
