Senior Air Quality Project Manager POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Air Quality Project Manager to join the Air Quality and Related Environmental Group. This hybrid or remote position is based in Austin, TX; Houston, TX; or Dallas, TX.

The Senior Air Quality Project Manager manages air quality projects and works with teams on complex environmental projects. In addition to executing project work, the role involves business development activities and proposal writing. The successful candidate will conduct and manage a myriad of air quality permitting and compliance projects primarily for industrial clients.

Roles And Responsibilities

Prepares proposals for air quality permitting and environmental support projects

Manages projects and tasks related to complex air quality permitting and compliance services

Assists clients in determining federal and state air quality regulatory applicability and develops strategies and systems for compliance

Interfaces with State air quality agencies and EPA on behalf of clients

Works collaboratively with POWER colleagues, external companies, and attorneys in support of clients’ air quality needs

Advocates for POWER’s clients, keeping them informed of pertinent regulatory matters and other issues that impact their business

Participates in public meetings and hearings on behalf of clients

Calculates emissions and evaluates air emissions control technologies

Participates in environmental compliance auditsPerforms and ensures QA/QC of technical work

Mentors POWER’s technical staff for their professional development

Develops business for POWER by networking through face‑to‑face visits with potential clients and participating in professional trade associations by attending conferences, tradeshows, and webinars

Supports business development activities by helping to develop internal marketing materials and contributes technical articles to POWER publications

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related science or engineering

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills including report writing, oral presentations, and direct verbal communication

Experience in interpreting and developing compliance strategies for State and Federal air quality regulations and proven problem‑solving skills

Availability to travel up to 20% of the time

Valid State driver's license

Preferred Experience

Electric generation and/or cement manufacturing air permitting and regulatory expertise; preferably in Texas

Air dispersion modeling familiarity

Base Salary Range: $110K-160K per year
