About the Role The Project Manager will lead school construction projects across Texas, managing budget, schedule, and coordination between owners, architects, engineers, and field teams. This person serves as the central point of contact ensuring all project goals are met.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from preconstruction through final handoff, ensuring budget and schedule goals are achieved
Build and maintain relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors
Prepare and maintain cost reports, change orders, pay applications, and related project documentation
Collaborate with superintendents to plan field operations, maintain schedules, and anticipate resource needs
Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to confirm contract compliance
Conduct regular project meetings, produce progress reports, and ensure strong communication among all parties
Identify risks and opportunities, recommend solutions, and lead the team through decision-making
Provide mentorship to project engineers or assistant managers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
3+ years of experience as a project manager on commercial or institutional work
Experience managing education or public-sector projects in Texas is highly desirable
Proficiency with cost control systems, scheduling software, and project management platforms
Strong financial, organizational, and communication skills
