IT Business Analyst
Location: Remote

Reports to: Senior Manager, IT PMO
Job Profile Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated IT Business Analyst to support our POS landscape. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to support our product team in gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and assisting in the delivery of technology solutions that drive efficiency and scalability across the organization.
Position Responsibilities
Partner with the Application Owner and product stakeholders to
document business requirements , user stories, and acceptance criteria that align with operational and regulatory needs.
Manage and refine the product backlog , ensuring that prioritization reflects business value, strategic initiatives, and release timelines.
Facilitate
cross-functional requirements sessions , including workshops with UX, Business Operations, QA, Retail, and Technical Teams.
Support
sprint ceremonies
including backlog grooming, stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews—providing transparency into progress and delivery status.
Develop
business process documentation , including workflows, system interaction diagrams, and process maps to ensure operational clarity and process optimization.
Liaise between technical teams and business units to validate
solution design , ensuring requirements are fully understood and delivered within scope.
Coordinate and contribute to
UAT planning and validation , confirming functional readiness prior to deployments.
Assist in
deployment readiness , including stakeholder communications, checklist execution, and business validation tracking.
Support
Sev‑1 and escalated production incidents
through triage participation, business communications drafting, and post‑incident analysis for continuous improvement.
Execute
ad hoc analysis, reporting, and data validation
to support operational decision‑making and performance measurement.
Ensure quality and consistency of documentation artifacts within ADO, including traceability across epics, features, stories, tests, and release cycles.
Collaborate closely with vendor partners and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment on
release planning, resourcing, and velocity expectations .
Manage and support operational requirements for third‑party POS applications and integrations, ensuring compatibility, performance, and issue resolution across the systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in business analysis, IT, or related roles.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with tools such as ADO, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, and data visualization platforms.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is a plus.
Experience in retail, manufacturing, or regulated industries is a plus.
Exposure to ERP systems, CRM platforms, or eCommerce technologies is a plus.
Work Schedule
Full‑time with flexible hours depending on business needs.
Must be available to work over‑night deployments, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
