Insight Global is looking for a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist that will assist the Safety Manager with the responsibility of promoting a safety culture and policies, procedures, and safety work practices. This position will provide support to the manufacturing sites operations, ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health & safety laws. The Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist is accountable to coordinate and monitor programs to meet or exceed all company and regulatory requirements for employee health and safety.

Responsibilities

Drive the effective and consistent implementation of Health and Safety policies and programs by actively engaging and influencing leadership teams and other stakeholders.

Work closely with Operations and site management to ensure initiatives are properly aligned and executed throughout the region to meet or exceed safety performance goals.

Audit sites for compliance with Health and Safety programs and processes.

Review accident and injury data to identify the needs for new or modified occupational safety programs.

Continuously engage the workforce to ensure needs and compliance are met; enforce safe behaviors and a positive safety culture.

Provide continuous support and guidance to facility personnel to maintain a safe work environment that is consistent with the company’s policies and provincial/federal regulations.

Evaluate employee safety behavior and performance to ensure training programs are effective.

Drive the implementation of site and corporate health and safety initiatives and ensure the workforce is trained to identify hazards, manage risk, and utilize safe work practices.

Responsible for incident and injury investigations, mitigation, and interactions with injured employees, including reporting to regulatory agencies and follow‑up/close‑out investigations.

Evaluate hazardous conditions and behaviors/practices, and develop controls and guidance to eliminate.

Periodically perform safety and engagement plant walks, providing safety coaching and feedback to operations.

Manage the company’s Workers’ Compensation program.

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related safety‑focused degree program.

5+ years of experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety role in manufacturing.

2+ years of experience in OSHA, EPA, reporting.

Compensation $30/hr to $40/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
